Zucca has been a convenience store wholesaler supplying Cigarettes, Tobacco, Candy, and Grocery Items to retailers throughout the Mid Atlantic Region. From our headquarters in southern New Jersey, L J Zucca brings the inventory you need right to your door, whether you are an individual store or a regional chain; we are: BIG ENOUGH TO SUPPLY, BUT SMALL ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU. Effective: April 1, 2009 the Federal Tobacco Excise Tax increased. The Increase is the result of the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 or SCHIP. SCHIP requires all retailers and wholesalers to pay a floor stock tax on tobacco products in inventory. The floor tax is calculated by multiplying the amount of the tax increase of each type of product by the number on hand as of April 1st and must be paid by August 1st.
